AMD betters Atom!

Whether it is shock for Intel lovers or a euphoria for Athlon lovers, it is really good news for PC users. The ever reliable Tom’s Hardware has stated that AMD’s Athlon 64 2000+ has outperformed Intel’s 1.6GHz Atom 230 processor. The 1GHz Athlon bettered Atom in both energy consumption and processing power tests with a core voltage of 0.90 volts and a power draw of just 8 watts. Further, the experts at Tom’s have reported that the Athlon Processor is faster, cheaper and quieter that the Atom. Release of Intel Atom processor creates a little hype because of the brand name, whereas the AMD sustains its brand name and remains at the same stage. Though Intel Atom processor cost is very cheap people move to higher configuration or AMD only. Few people still get into the atom processor because of the cheap rate and for not official use.

Whether acid rain can be prevented or not?

Whether acid rain can be prevented? Yes, it is possible but the thing is possible through molecule only. Recently scientist discovered that an unusual molecule which helps to break down pollutants and more importantly the compounds that cause acid rain. The compound present in the atmosphere has the ability to ‘burn’ or oxidise the pollutants, especially nitric oxides emitted by factories and automobiles. Still, the chemical detailsof how the atmosphere removes nitric acid have not been clear. The find has its significance in countries such as Brazil, India, China, etc where there are automobiles and factories that are unregulated. As per the statement from Lester who said that the molecule had been theorized by atmospheric chemists for 40 years and that they had chased it for years now.

Fitness, an eye-opener

For most people, staying fit seems to be equivalent to having a six-pack, bulging biceps and a strong set of Pecs. Truth be told, having such a physique is not feasible for everyone and what s more is that it is very very difficult to achieve. True fitness is something that keeps you healthy and in good shape both physically and mentally. The key to being fit is balanced exercise, not over the top iron pumping which may result in severe injuries. It’s always good to consult a trainer before embarking on new exercises. While hitting the gym is an excellent way to start, it’s even more important to have a balanced schedule so that you don’t end up straining one part of the body too much.

As we all know, the world’s biggest experiment is on using the Large Haldron Collider(LHC) to discover the God’s particle and eventually show light on the secrets on the cosmos. The latest news is that the computer system of the LHC has been hacked by a group of people calling themselves the Greek Security Team. The guys, in addition to having hacked the system left a webpage thereby mocking the security people as “schoolkids”. According to what they have said they had no intention of disrupting the atom smasher or the experiment. `The aroma of coffee is sure to entice any mortal. For some people, coffee is just for taste; for some, it is an addiction; but for many, coffee is lifestyle. It is therefore important to have healthy coffee. The main problem with coffee is its acidic nature. On an average, it needs 17 cups of water to neutralize the acidity of 1 cup of coffee. To offset the dehydration, it needs 2 cups of water. Thus pH is the main cause of worry in coffee and the solution lies in balancing the pH. The world’s first healthy coffee, Gano, contains Reishi Mushroom. Reishi is known for its ability to increase the body pH as a result of which the acidity of coffee is reduced and more easily neutralized. The coffee contains over 150 anti-oxidants and 200 total active nutrients. At the same time, there is no compromise on the taste or aroma. The gano coffee is basically made to improve energy, stamina and to aid for better sleep.

Mobile phones

Mobile phones have become ubiquitous at present. A person may not own a house, may not own a bike or a car, may even unable pay the monthly electricity bills, still he will own a mobile which he cherishes. Mobiles have become inseparable from the common man. From the time mobile phones came into the market, more and more features have been added to them to make them more attractive, more usable and, may be, not deliberately more threatening. With the fact that mobile service providers are planning to offer internet services for all mobile users, they are proving to be even more dangerous. Hackers target Bluetooth users with viruses, obscene contents, etc. Mobile phones have become the modus operandi for the terrorists who have successfully used cell phones to trigger so many assassinations and other treacherous plots. Thus has been the impact of cell phones on the society that stringent measures on the use of mobiles are the need of the hour.

Quasi 3D state crystal keeps Moore's law alive

Every time we expect the Moore’s law to break apart, there comes a breakthrough in the transistor technology and the law remains. In the same fashion, when the gates are closing in on the law, we have a quasi-3D electron crystal discovered, which can increase the number of transistors used in a chip to multiply significantly. The new discovery by a group of physics at the McGill University(Montreal) indicate a new state of matter. This was reportedly found in a semiconductor material at a temperature of about 100 times colder than the intergalactic space. This state is found to be in between the 2D and the 3D state and is expected to lift the physical restrictions on the size of a transistor.Time and again, science is able to save itself.
